- DIY Home Coffee Bar - Everything You Need to Make Fancy Coffee at Home
Coffee shops can be incredibly expensive. What if I told you that you can make similar coffees AT HOME?! In this article I will go through everything you need to create a coffee shop worthy cup at home! First, I'll go through my favorite coffee makers. Then, we will discuss all other essentials to make your fancy coffee at home. The Coffee Maker I personally really like the Nespresso VertuoPlus for espresso drinks. This is the machine that, in my opinion, makes espresso that is super close to coffee shops. You are able to get the type of espresso you like (from light to dark). If you are looking for a coffee machine that does just coffee (not espresso), the Keurig is a solid choice. I like that there are two different sizes so you can have one in a family home OR a college dorm. The smaller version is more versatile in my opinion. 2. The Ingredients When I make a coffee at home, I am a huge fan of an iced vanilla latte. Its easy AND tastes just like it was made at a coffee shop! The ingredients for this are coffee, milk of your choice (I like the Oatly Barista version) and vanilla syrup . You can also get different flavored syrups to spice-up your coffee! I prefer Torani syrups because I think they are the best! When it comes to the coffee itself, you will need to get the branded versions depending on which coffee maker you decide to buy. Nespresso Pods come in many varieties, so choose which is best for you! I personally like the Starbucks by Nespresso Blonde Roast pods , but there are SO MANY options to choose from. Make sure the pods you get are compatible with the type of Nespresso machine you buy! Keurig is a widely-known brand now and so many companies make 'K-Cups' that fit in the machine. My personal favorite are the Breakfast Blend from Green Mountain . When you buy in bulk on Amazon, you can save a lot of money compared to buying in grocery stores. 3. The Essentials These are the things you definitely NEED for a home coffee bar: Mugs of your choosing ( I think these are super cute ) Tall glasses for iced coffee, if you like iced coffee ( I like these ) Espresso cups, if making espresso coffee ( these are the best ones I have found ) 4. The Optional Add-Ons (For Fun and Aesthetic Purposes) Above are all the things you NEED. Now lets talk about some things that are cute and fun. Adding a milk frother could be a fun addition that would change-up your normal coffee routine. Be sure to look up what else this product can be used for! I think making your coffee bar aesthetically pleasing can create an eye-catching area of your home that also feels warm and welcoming. That is why I like to incorporate things like tea towels, small spoons, and some organizational things. Below are some links to products that can make your coffee bar more pleasing to the eye. Glass bottles for syrups Nespresso Pod Holder Small Spoons (can be used for short or tall glasses) Plain Tea Towels These are my general suggestions, but you should definitely customize your coffee bar to fit your personal style and make it easily usable. The entire point of this is that YOU get to make it your own! Let me know if you designed your at-home coffee bar and how it turned out!
