Ingredients (Breading) | Instructions (Frying) |
| Step 1 In one bowl, whisk the egg. |
| Step 2 In a second bowl, whisk together cornstarch, flour, and salt. |
| Step 3 Fill the bottom of a frying pan with oil and heat on high until 350 degrees. |
| Step 4 Dip each chicken piece in egg then coat in flour mixture. Place gently in the frying oil. |
| Step 5 Fry chicken on both sides until golden brown and chicken is cooked through. Place fried chicken pieces on a plate lined with paper towels to soak any extra oil. |
Ingredients (SAUCE) | Instructions (SAUCE) |
|---|---|
| Step 1 Mix all ingredients (except cornstarch), and place in a sauce pot. |
| Step 2 Cook on medium heat until the sauce begins to simmer. |
| Step 3 In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and a splash of water. |
| Step 4 Once sauce is boiling, slowly pour in the cornstarch mixture. This will thicken the sauce to a gummy texture. If you want the sauce thicker, add a little more cornstarch mixture. |
| Step 5 Toss fried chicken in the sauce and mix to coat each piece. |
